I thought I was trying to be obedient in all things, but I really wasn't. I know He loves us & don't want to see trouble for us.But we are a people whom have been given choices.When you are a child and your parents tell you to not do something, you think they are a killjoy.Really what they are doing is teaching you something about listening.
Being abedient to your parents could save your life and later on obeying Christ will save your soul. Is He being a killjoy...not at all, He wants the best for your life and He knows what is up the road for you. We sometimes don't make the best choices in life and thus we fall into a trap.
The 10 commandments were given to us for a good reason. Can you imagine what life would be like if things like murder,rape,stealing, and coveting would be like if there weren't laws.I mean I know its bad enough, but no law against killing...ok there wouldn't be alot of people that are here today.Everyone would be killing the person that ticked him off. Know girls or boys would be able to walk the streets without being molested or raped.Your things ,well you might as well not have anything because they would soon belong to any thief that wanted it.
Ok so commandments of God are really a good thing to have around. Thats not a bad thing to be obedient to. Lawlessness is becoming more rampant today because its allowed.Oh lets not tell the child he can't smoke or have an occasional beer.Lets not forbid them to not have sex before marriage...they need to find out who the right one is.RIGHT...WRONG
We have said okay to our kids so many times that now everything is ok.There are no more morals because mom and dad or someone else said it was ok.They are being old fashioned not letting you stay out after dark. Wake up parents..you are losing your children and you are accountable.
Your kids want you to say no..they are scared and its an excuse for them to not go to a party that they no is not good.
Listen to them they want you to say NO!
Get then off the hook.So does God have a pretty good set of rules or what...or better yet a good set of " keeping you out of trouble " rules.yeah I would say so. There is alot more that can be said about obedience but I don't want to put it all on one post..later on
